Understanding the feel and look of golf will show in good form. Here we take a look at some of the basics in golf attire. Reason is, wearing a wife beater and jeans is not in good form, and downright tacky. So, here are some tips on what to wear on the golf course.

First thing to keep in mind is to show up looking presentable. If your golfing with co-workers, this would be kind of like a professional engagement and so you would need appropriate golf clothing. Some golf clubs have a dress code that is enforced.

Golf shirts with a collar. If your unsure about this, a safe bet can be just using golf clothing from a name brand golfing company. Shorts must be for golfing. Nothing cutoff or gym shorts. And nothing shorter than just above the knees. Denim is not usually desired. Golf pants or Golf shorts need belt loops and no cuffs. Leather belts work best with golf clothing.

Alot of golf clothing is are bright and full of color. But you can make this work together, choosing colors that go together. You don’t need to wear all color at the same time. If your unsure about this, brown and khaki is always a safe choice for golf clothing.

Golf shoes. Not tennis or running shoes. And definitely no sandals. You could bring a pair of shoes and then change into your golf shoes at the locker room. Hats are a good idea. Keep the sunlight off your face and will help you see the golf course better. Baseball hats or straw hats are good choices. If your wearing pants, match up your socks with them. For shorts, you should go for light colored socks. If your in a cooler climate area, then a golf sweater would be a wise choice.

Dressing for golf shows you have respect for the game and respect for the members of your group.
